My friends let me tell you a story from a 1998 club tour, and how you can get thrown off a tour 5 minutes into the 4th show.......

I was touring with another band called CSU, they were kinda well known on the Japanese club circuit in the mid 90's, well since it was their tour they had certain demands made of opening bands.

After the first show they approached us and told us not to play "For Whom The Bell Tolls" as they wanted it in their set, so we agreed but we decided that it was crap after hearing them butcher the song.

So 3rd show we played it as our 4th song and they got all pissed off, no problem we won't play it again.

Cut to 1st song of the 4th show we did together, to get back at them for being arrogant and pushy we opened our show with their current single, instantly getting kicked off the tour. But the crowd went apeshit and we had a good laugh and went home.

nice...back in high school my band auditioned for a gig and us and another band were selected to play a show at our local winter carnival......it was supposed to be a teen dance and they were going to provide us with a PA system......at the last minute...literally the night before we found out it was now a pre-teen dance and there was no PA.....so we found an bought an old 125 Watt Traynor solid state PA and the "matching 4x12 columns....and set up for the gig...as people started arriving (kids and their parents) we had just finished setting up (they let us into the hall 25 to 30 mins before the doors opened for the show....and we started our 30 second soundcheck songand the word "bugger" was in the lyrics so we were asked not to play that again and we were asked if we could play backstreet boys songs and stuff like that we said no we're a punk band and you knew that when we auditioned......the other band was a rock band (friends of ours) and they played mellower stuff but since they fired us the other band refused to play because the PA was leaving with us....so we took our money, our PA and the other band and went to my parents house (also my house at the time) and set up in the basemend (our usual rehersal space) and played with all our friends there until the wee hours in the morning....1 guy got a pierced nipple and our neihbours, one of whom is a police officer, never complained.....it turned out to be a pretty good night....it worked out that for the 30 seconds we played...it worked out to a $2000/ hour pay for each band......oh and the dance went on with only a boom box and bad CDs.....

not exactly "kicked off a tour" but fired for being ourselves.....

My band for the 80's, Citizen Cain, got kicked off a tour with Ratt before it started. Their management sent our management a "performance recommendation list" that basically told us not to even sneeze without previous permission.

I wiped my ass with it and sent it back.

I took it that way.

I think that tour never happened anyway, so I got blacklisted for NOTHING. HAHA.
