4 Way Tele Sound Clips

Sound Clips of 4 Way Tele Mod
These clips were recorded with my Tele that has the Fender SCN pu's in it, 1950's Sprague .015 Bumble Bee cap and the 4 Way Switch Mod. It is also a "Top loader" so IMO it has a more warm open sound to start with than many of the String Through the Back Teles I have owned.

All Clips were recorded with guitar plugged directly into KORG, just a bit of Room Reverb and the Tone control is cracked open just enough to add a little "Warmth" to the pickups. I use Ernie Ball Regular Slinky's 10-46, and a Fender Heavy Pick. Volume was set the same on all clips, so you are hearing exact sound level of each pu setting.

All 4 sound clips were recorded in this order...

1. Bridge

2. Bridge/Neck parallel

3. Neck

4. *Bridge and Neck in Series (like humbucker)

The Rist? Body finished, neck is a blank, and the fretboard is slotted.

Will hasn't started on the pickups (because he doesn't know what I want exactly), and Roman still has to make the hardware (isn't that AWESOME?!).

All in all, I'm not too worried about it. Roman's a good guy, I just need to be patient.

Sounds like it will be a great guitar, and well worth the wait. Custom made hardware, sweet. I talked to Will on the phone the other day and he was pretty excited about moving into the new shop. Just kinda crazy there now with everything else going on as well. He mentioned something about Dweezil Zappa stopping by his place later this week, how cool is that? I guess he is doing the Zappa does Zappa tour? Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to live in Cali

Yeah Indiana is a bit safer, but I would like to go out to Cali just for a visit sometime. I just got invited to play a show in San Francisco on march 21st or April 25th with a friend of mines band. I sent him a link to my sound clips and he gave me an invite to come out, but there's no way that's going to happen. Gig probably wouldn't even pay for my plane ticket, but it is still kind of fun to think about it
