I've heard there aren't many color pictures of Clapton's paul. I think I've found and wanted to share my favorite. I'm not sure if this is the beano guitar, but here he is playing during his Cream era.

I think that's the Andy Summers burst?
He lost Beano right before Cream if I recall correctly

It must have been cold in that studio. Ginger looks like he's headed to the Yukon.

Andy Summers (of later 'The Police' fame) with the 1960 burst, sold to Clapton in 1966 for 200 pounds

Was that Ginger Baker on the drums? I can't really tell.

Wish Clapton would go back to playing the lp. I think he was a better guitarist prior to 1970. He just doesn't have it anymore but then again he's not in his 20's anymore. I think those old les Paul's were harder to play back then as opposed to his strat with all its wizardry knobs and buttons. He earned his tone back in the day. Now, his strat practically plays itself.

I love the lack of cables.... Never knew they had wireless back then! LOL

IF you want to hear him on LP recently check out this Rolling Stones page. Check out the bottom video of him with one of the new Lucy's.

I've got such a man-crush on him. These three videos made me want a Tweed twin so badly!

Never liked his tone after he switch to a Strat. SRV had a good Strat tone. Never liked Claptons.

Actually he had right up until Cream's first live show and then it was stolen. Clapton had been using during Cream's rehearsals.
