Hi , First time on the forum , I was wondering if someone could give me some information on my guitar . I have a 2001 Gary Moore Les Paul Sig . I would like to know how many were made . I do know they only made them from 2000 till 2002 . Does that make them Ltd editions ? thanx.

Limited editions have a set number made, I think the Gary Moore Les Paul was discontinued, not sure though.

I have one as well, a 2001. It's a great guitar! They were the first Gibsons sold in the US with Burstbucker pickups (BB1 in the neck and bridge position). Although the neck pickup was installed backwards, they were not out of phase. The neck on mine is kind of thin at the 1st fret and kind of fat at the 12th. The taper is extreme. I really enjoy the low powered pickups and having the same wind in both positions (actually, my neck pickup measures a tad stronger than the bridge pickup) makes the middle switch position sound sweeter.

They're not limited editions, but were only made for a few years.

I also have a 2001.Amazing guitar, love those burstbuckers.I,m also wondering how many were made? Gibson won,t say. They now have limited runs on signature models. We know it was made only a year and a half or two. They might be afraid of the chinese copying them.It would be nice to find out how many were made cause of course, the less the better for them to go up in value.I even had a Gibson rep who told me he,d find out,But again,no reply.
