Does anyone know what model my Greco Lemon Drop is? I know it's 1990 from the serial number but it's does not have label like my 82 Greco 850 has. The neck has a long tenon, but it's screwed down, maybe glued as well. I read somewhere they started doing this to speed up production. The pickup's don't have any numbers printed on them. I recently replaced the bridge pickup with a Bare Knuckle VH II but if I'm honest the original PU sounded just as good. I've tried looking for a 1990 Greco Catalog online, but so far no luck. I suspect it's a cheaper model, I paid £350 for it a couple of years ago, but it looks good and plays and sounds great.

I don't know but, I used to have one. Really, nice chunky neck on it.

As far as my memory serves, these bolt-on models were all Korean. Interesting bolt-on design though... and a very good one by the looks of it. To me... this is probably the modern equivalent of an EG3XX/400.

Thanks for the replies... I don't think it is Korean because it has a FujiGen Gakki Serial Number. Also apparently the Korean Greco's have a very square nut and the cavities have shield paint in them. If I had to guess myself I think it's one of last of the Mint Collection.

The screws on the neck are interesting, I should think by loosening or tightening them you could actually adjust the angle. Which is probably why they put them there in the first place. I was hoping someone might be able to point me to a 1990 Greco catalog. I have PDF's of the early 80's catalogs, but I can't find any of the later catalogs.

Mmm EG-650LDS?
Looks like a Matsumoku tenon...the closed "e" on the headstock suggests it is not Korean.
That font is definitely 90+

Similar to my old 1991 EG59-70 I had but mine was Fujigen made.

The "O" as well but if you look at ANY of the Korean models I have noticed they all share the same thing, the open or disconnected "e".
Minus the bath tub pup routes, rainbow wiring, and horrible nut to name a few.

I remember that one, isn't that the one you were dead set on, was from 81' and was a rare transition model? :)

I had one of those 3-bolt Greco's. The model # was stamped in the neck pocket. If the neck is glued in, it wasn't done at the factory. Overall, it was a decent guitar - looked, played and sounded nice.
