If he's posted it on the internet, it's no longer 'personal'; he's made it 'public'.

This goes beyond "outing" a liar on an open internet forum. This is harrassment.

I agree...some people cannot just leave things be! Sure he is a kid and keeps coming back and getting banned but this has turned into a childish witch hunt and tracking down the actual persons name and posting it via his Facebook page is WAY too far IMO. That type of garbage in itself should be a bannable offense!

Block the user you do not like but posting private information and actually doing so much research as to locate the banned forum users real name is really sad and totally wrong in my books! I like how you realized your error and corrected your posts with "..." but still defended yourself afterward? Come on man, how old are you!?

He is a #$%@ KID! Are you really that bored that you have to be a bounty hunter on the forums and keep tracking him down and antagonizing? Sure you busted him and he got banned again, leave it at that...who cares if it was JUST his Facebook & not his bank account info River? Want me to track down info on you and post it? Would you be cool with that? If we wanted people on the forums to know who we are, we would create our forum names with our real names but we do not, now do we? So there is something to say in that. Both of you guys need better hobbies or something...good god.

Dennis you of all people, with your post count especially, should know basic internet etiquette (what you did could actually get you in crap with the authorities man)...to quote the forum rules to you:

Dealing with Troublesome Users

Can I block posts, emails and messages from specific users?

If there are particular members that bother you and you do not want to see their posts or receive Private Messages and Emails from them, then you can add these members to your 'Ignore List'. There are several ways to do this:

Through your User Control Panel: User CP, Settings & Options, Edit Ignore List. Then, type their name into the empty text box and click 'Okay'.

What if I see something offensive? "I think I did!"

You will find 'Report' links in many places throughout the board. These links allow you to alert the board staff to anything which you find to be offensive, objectionable or illegal.

You are on a public forum....you are posting your diatribe on a public forum...you are posting a forum member's personal info you have personal issues with on a public forum. Your ear wax does not apply here so just step off your soap box man and take a toke and relax for once.

It's disappointing to me to see that there are those among us who would rather let these little lying shits continue believing that they are truly anonymous on the internet. You're not, you can be traced and we can find out who you are. Maybe we ought to get a hold of your parents and get your internet privileges taken away.

The internet is real, there are real people on the other end. This is not some fantasy land for you to play around in, lying to and scamming people like there are no consequences. This is not your toilet.

Just to say, this is real boring and worrying. I pop on here to see how everyone is getting on with their other Les Pauls not to read this childish rubbish. I teach 16-22 year olds so I see and hear it every day, if I was to behave like some of the older members I'd get sacked.

"Mind your beeswax" looking forward to hearing my daughter saying this in a year or so, she's 4 now.

Do you really think that's the case? I think it's just a case that some would choose to report it to a mod and let them do their business rather than up their post count and TRY to look clever.

That's it for me Burny's, Orville's and other LPs from now.

Consider this: The little dipstick gets under the skin of a person who is inclined towards violence or even worse, child molestation. The kid has posted all this easily-found information all over the web, most likely without his parents consent or knowledge. What then?
I wish I knew how to contact his parents to let them know what their son is up to.

Yeah a risk ain't it just like when I was a kid and my mates would play knock out ginger (you would randomly knock someones door and run off) or hedge hopping (you would randomly run into a garden and jump over the hedge into the other garden and so forth), could quite as easily have done it to a right nutter who wanted to wear my skin as a hat (I do doubt this though). It's called having a youth, it's hard I know but we get older and don't understand the things that these here kids get up to.

Every now and then I see some kids drunk, shouting near my house, thoughts of picking up the phone and calling the police come to mind but then I think.......wasn't that long ago that the neighbours thought the same of me, they must have understood.

Dennis, posting that kid's personal info is a load of BS if you ask me. He's just a kid, and now you opened up his public info to ANYONE who wants to access it. Very dumb move tracing this kid and even finding what school he goes to. You sure seem to have a lot of time on your hands, why don't you use it to become a better person, instead of stalking kids?

IMO, he made it others' business. It's not like anyone's hacking into his savings account, while he was trying to get his hands in other people's pockets. There's no expectation of privacy here, especially when you come staggering in knocking down tables and asking people to buy your drinks.

Even if he did make it other people's business doesn't mean you have to look him up.

Even so, If something's on the internet doesn't mean you have to go searching for it to possibly ruin some kid's life. I am a high school teacher and I witness kids who are emotionally damaged everyday. It's tough. I say this thread gets deleted before more people see his link.

Well no offense at all, but you weren't here to see what other stupid things this kid did like post pornographic pics on another thread when he was called out. This kid obviously doesnt know whats right and wrong. That said, I didnt see Dennis' original posts, but Im sure he did it to prove a point and not to simply stalk a kid like he said.

PS anyone who thinks they have any right to privacy on the internet is obviously truly naive and ignorant.

Regardless of what the kid did, it's still wrong to post his personal info on a public forum.

Exactly, Zep. Those who haven't been in the game long enough to see how it has been played out should sit back and watch for a while.

Why would I watch? I have half a mind to call the authorities for doing something like this.

Sorry, I'm trying to see your point of view but I don't follow your logic. Have you witnessed any scams here (and lots of other places) in which a tale of woe (age, deployment, illness) gets sold as a bill of goods in order to fleece honest, well-intentioned folk? Or where an adult passes themselves off as a minor for similar (or more nefarious) purposes? Everything here, and those other places, is a matter of public record.
