Definately agree. When I first came here, I didnt get these threads, so I generally stayed out of the backstage. It wasnt until that guy came on calling TWANG a liar and that whole thread that somehow lasted 12 pages before being deleted by mods, that I understood this place and its working well enough to take part in these threads.

Matt, you seem like a cool guy so Im gonna warn ya in hopes of working this whole issue out. This kid did some things that were horrible at best and he himself gave out personal information to many members here without their asking. This is something that people around here never do and this is still a good, well intentioned forum. Hell, its one of the few forums where members are reprimanded for using profanity. Pornography is the hot button issue here and this kid posted it and came back for a third time on another account. Whatever he got was coming to him. Nobody has ever done this to me, because I know the line and have not crossed it.

If you don't want someone finding you on the internet you have two options. 1- Don't get on the internet. 2- Don't get on the internet.

Also, I am appalled that from the way some of you talk you don't think it's okay that Dennis contact this kid's parents if he knew how.

That's like saying "let him be a jackass, he's a kid." If he was in the mall showing his ass like he does on here and I knew his parents, I'd be on the phone in an instant.

What about where a bunch of us got together and "stalked" another member to find his phone number and the local emergency number so that we could save him from committing suicide? This kid could do this to the wrong people one day, maybe a wake up call is in order.

Is that a valid argument? Not really. But did Dennis do anything illegal? Or really even unethical?

Honestly, this would be like calling the cops on AT&T. After all, they post people's phone numbers and addresses in books and websites that are available to the public.

After all the nonsense that has been going on lately, I thought I'd see just who this 'kid' is. It turns out that he really is a kid. His parents need to keep him off the computer, or he may get them in some trouble some day. After all, they are responsible for all his eBay antics and porn-posting.
I found nothing that was not easily found by anyone with a computer of any capacity. I only used Google, typing in his various user names.

Right. If ALL of the rules were applied to ALL members equally at ALL times, these situations would be nipped in the bud. We would also need 100 moderators on 24/7 rotation.

Don't preach to me about what this juvenile did, I know I wasted valuable minutes of my life reading some of it. As for "getting tired of these little turds", I doubt that, seems like they get more topic pages than most others. Like I said if you think a members behaviour is a little off, tell the mods, let them do their job. Post count does indicate that perhaps a member knows what is going on here now, and for some time. In my case: Maturity and intelligence....perhaps not; morals I have had all my life, being brought up in a good home. I have never been arrested or even handcuffed. I have had a few speeding tickets but none for DUI. I drink a beer occasionally, but don't use any illegal drugs, even pot.
I look at a boob picture on the internet once in a while, but I don't look at child porn or hardcore or BDSM or any of that.
I agree that posting the kid's info was not the wisest course of action, but I did delete it, and I did not 'stalk' the kid, rather used Google to easily find the kid's obvious trail of bread crumbs. I sincerely wish I knew how to contact the kid's parents. He could get himself or them in some serious trouble.

Now that's paraphrasing but missing the point. I have emailed ? about this thread, hopefully it will get cut back to its initially intention, a warning to others about the fake LPs out there.
