Help-Need wiring diagram for dual pickup Melody Maker

Hey guys, I'm trying to wire up a dual humbucker custom guitar similar to a dual pickup Melody Maker which has only a single volume and tone pot plus a 3 way selector. Would anyone have a wiring diagram for a dual pickup Melody Maker or similar arrangement. Would I only need a single cap on the tone pot. I would appreciate any advice.

Here is a modern way, I don't really like the cap soldered back to the pot though, I will see if I can find you something else.

I would modify that diagram and wire it up 50's style if it was my guitar with the cap going from tone lug to volume lug.
