The last time I ordered online, I haggled the price down to cover expediting the shipping. I figure less time bouncing around in a truck, the better. Not to mention getting it sooner.
Being able to track packages is nice but also nerve wracking. When it says, "Out For Delivery" you're always the last stop n their route, it seems.
Ohh, that looks killer! White Guitars are just the sex!
I've spent the past... I don't know, probably 2 months, waiting for my Gibson Studio (my first Gibby as well, actually. =D) I had to wait about 3 or 4 weeks for the store to get it in and since then it's been boxed up with my name on it and a deposit, waiting for me to pick him up. Finally got to an agreement with my parents so I can take him home with me after work tomorrow. =D
30 years. After purchasing the Ibanez Artist AR200 in 1980, I knew some day I will eventually get a Gibson. Then started college, work, dating, married, kids, children's college tuition, I could not wait any longer. I ended up buying a bunch in the last year.
I wish I bought them earlier. Those that are waiting for that some day....Do not wait any more. JUST DO IT.
I never need to wait. Because every time when I've made a deal for a guitar buy, I ALWAYS pick the guitar up by myself. I would never buy via internet.
Been playing for over 35 years and I'm still waiting!! For an LP Standard that is. I have other Gibson LP's (Special, Studio etc, even have/had a couple of SG's) but still don't have a Standard. One day!
I waited about 18 hours! Weird as that sounds, I think you'll understand the story behind it:-
I was in the studio back in 2009 with the band recording 4 demo tracks to give out to pubs, to aid getting gigs. I've always been a Fender man so took my trusty Strat and recent purchase Tele. When it came to recording our last number, Gary Moore - Oh Pretty Woman, the chap in the studio handed me a R7 saying "Hey Scott, try this!" I was completely sold, so the next morning I went to my local Gibson dealer and came home with my first Gibson, a new BFG Gary Moore. That was that and I moved to a Standard last year!
