I got an old as hell dimarzio super distortion and i cant find a pup height adjustment screw that will thread into its "attachment tabs". Its from the late 70's mabey early 80 at the most. I also have one from 88 or so and I had no problems popping that one in.

Anyone have any suggestions on what I should do? I've tried two sizes and ones to small while the other one is, you guessed it, to big. I really doubt they make an in between size lol. :fingersx:

You could ask dimarzio. untill then you could try some thread tape on the small one , ? I tech I know says he taps the attachment thread so a bigger one can fit in, but I can't see how that would work seeing as they are or look to be a punched thing.

Yeah i did and they weren't able to help me. I'm going to try to find something at a hardware store i guess. I'll prolly just get my tech to mess with it lol.. And yeah they do look like they are punched, so I really dont know what I'll end up doing. The original owner said he used the original screws from his 78 custom.

Well if the ones from a 78 Gibson fit , well I don't think they changed them. So new Gibson ones, one would think would work. I don't know that a hardware store would have anything that would fit maybe!

Ill look into that.. All i know is that my original Epi screws are too big and the ones that came with my EMG's are too small, but they do work for my "newer" super distortion.

I will hit my tech up tomorrow and see what he wants to do with it. Thanks for the help overdriver. :dude:
