So, any bites yet? This is the only one of it's kind, I have never ever seen one before. According to Gibson, the serial number predates all existing robots.
Sounds to me that someone just slapped the guts from a Robot LP (you can order the components direct from the company) into a regular production LP?:hmm:

WHY?!

This should be my new sig:
"If you can't tune a guitar, then maybe you shouldn't be playing one!":thumb:

(BTW, I HATE Robot LPs, but love the top on yours):D

So... are you enjoying your new guitar or are you trying to sell it for $100k?

Here are some pics of my Gibson Standard Robot, whose serial number predates all original robot. This truly was the very first robot and the prettiest, not like those studio junkers. The first 100k takes it.

I was never "into" the robot guitars until I saw this one.. Nice...!

Wow! An amazing deal! It is much better than the real 59 on ebay for this price! It only costs as much as my house, what a great deal for a guitar who's auto tuning feature will crap out in less than a year.

For all who are unaware, sarcasm is indicated by purple text.

Does the Robot Guitar actually play well ?

I always wondered what it would be like to have one

Pic ?

Video ?
I've had several semi-pro guitar player play my robot and every last one of them says it plays as good as a "good" Lp Standard should. Mine has binding on neck and headstock as well as the MOP Gibson moniker. The tuning system works great in spite of what some have experienced which leads me to believe they didn't or couldn't follow directions. The ebony board in mine is also an upgrade over most Standards...jus saying...
