Identify my Supreme/custom mystery Les paul


Hi guys!

Owned a Gibson Les paul in the mid 90s that I bought from TipTop guitars in Sweden.
Due to some expensive surgery I had to sell the guitar.

Regret it very much and don't have any pictures of it.
Just some crappy VHS video of some gig we did in 1998.

Now when I try to find the same model im actually puzzled.

It got a "supreme body and split neck inlays" with Gold hardware and top hats.
But it also had the "custom" head inlays and not the supreme style inlay.


Wtf look like this but 2008 Gibson Les Paul Supreme 2008 model > Guitars : Electric Solid Body | Gbase.com is it a custom bastard one of model?

Remember that I got it in 1997.
Don't even have a clue if it was used or just in mint condition.


Hope you can help med even though I don't have much info on it.

I have seen one off Customs with inlays like the Supreme but normal Custom specs. All of them have been from the 90s IIRC too so maybe you had one of those. I will try and dig up some pictures.

Actually, they are Super 400 inlays, which the Supreme also borrowed.

I just know they made a few like that in the '90s and are the same as any other Custom.. I've seen more recent ones too that I believe were called Super Customs.

Need to google that and see how many combinations with brass/GH tuners and tophats+custom inlays i can find

Did some more research and i couldent find more then one custom+super 400 inlay.

Might be some sort of knock of site
And non in that darker flamed version that i had

So pictures of legit custom+super 400 inlay seem to be rare

Apparently, the Custom 400 models ran in limited numbers from the mid '80s through the early '90s.

The only difference between them and regular Customs were the inlays.

Yep. I actually hate 400 inlays on Les Pauls, I'm just relaying what I know.
