I want to share a great Band with MLP. Savoy Brown!
Been a big fan of Savoy Brown since I was your age. We considered Kim Simmonds a guitar hero of equal stature with Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, and Jimmy Page. Never had that level of commercial success, but a pretty big cult following. Interestingly, I now run into more young people who know about them than old farts who remember them.

Kim took the British Invasion seriously and now lives in upstate New York. I hired them for a private party in 2002 and it was the musical experience of my life. Didn't hurt that Kim is a humble, warm, and gentle human being.

Hunt down "Live In Central Park", extended version, especially "Love is the Saddest Feeling" and "Savoy Brown Boogie".

Careful Ricky you will give the Girls the wrong idea.
You DO NOT have a cold , you have MAN FLU, this is something that can only be cured by a lot of moaning and groaning and having women run up and down stairs administering medicines of all kinds, changing the channel on the TV , helping you reach your mug of Beachams hot lemon or Honey and Lemon whatever you prefer.
Don't let the side down man

Thanks to all for the suggestions. But since the wife has a sprained ankle, I couldn't do that to her this time. I knocked it out with some lemon & Potcheen.:naughty:

My favorite guitarist/composer, Steve Morse.

Can you say 'alternate picking'?

I've seen him play this live many, many times.

The Dregs rule.

I like Larry. Here's one with Steve Lukather. Nice solo by Luke!

Sometimes its dark...so dark...and my head is sunk low...my heart broke..cant seem to pull myself out of the mirey clay....but then I think of my kids, my wife, my family and light comes in...brightens my skies..to make it through another day..I pick up my 6 string one more time, play a few lines and everything seems ok, atleast for that moment.
