I posted this over on the Strat forum site also so if appears redundant that's because it is!
I have actually done a ton of work on this strat. I always wanted a yellow strat so I bought this one then added a rosewood American Pro neck, locking tuners, then had it Plek'd and set-up at Joe Glasers shop.
A couple of days ago I got bold and swapped the pickups for a set of Fender Pure Vintage '59 along with all new CTS pots and a .022 tone capacitor. First time I've done all the soldering myself but I took my time (about three and a half hours) to complete and made sure all the joints were good to go.
I then added a white pearlized pickguard.
I am finally and completely done. This guitar is where I want it. I posted some images a few months ago but figured I'd show a few with the new pickguard.
It's a good feeling to have a guitar entirely the way you want it, looks, action, tone everything.
