R8 VOS and Gloss finish comparison

I'd just like to see some glossy vs. vos finish r8's.
no questions asked lol just wanna see the visual differences from everybody's r8's

Here's my VOS R8 vs. my Gloss R9. The Gloss is glossier and of course the R9 has a little flame to it. Both equally great players.

LOL, I was gonna write the exact same thing!


I cleaned the VOS gunk off with Virtuoso so mine are in between the two. Kinda like the Custom Authentic stuff.

Its not so shiny any more. Not VOS looking, but not nearly as glossy as in that shot. I play it pretty hard!

I'm on and off about having a good RS refin w/ more authentic Nitro (and Brock burst). I'm still not sure what I'm going to do... I really like the finish, but don't like the fact that the new Nitro formula will never check. I want my old ass Gibson to look like an old ass Gibson here in 20 years... It won't look right without some checking!

Thanks! It definitely has a real tight 3D Flame top that rivals any PRS 10 top that I've seen. Probably not historically accurate, but I'm happy with it.
