I lost two large rat snakes a few years back, finally found one in a floor vent (and really lucky it didn't fall into the furnace lol) and after a few more days, I was getting scared trhat perhaps I'd have to smell out the dead snake. My wife walks into the bedroom one morning at 5:30, getting ready for work and casually asks "I think I found your snake in my shoe...."

snakes never bothered me, I've been bitten so many times and it's no worse than a bee-sting ..

Dude you're not supposed to be juggling them!

Imagine going for a late nite dump and finding this the hard way !!

I'd be like, "Whoa!!! Where the fuck is my drywall? What happened to the floor?! And holy-shit there's a snake in the toilet that has no water or plumbing running to it! So help me if he shits in there he's gonna be the one cleaning it up!!

Now I gotta call Subterfuge and get him to juggle that sumbich outta there!

I had some in my house too.

I got one of these:

It's basically a plastic pizza box with two sides wide open and the front edge bent to form a funnel toward a glue trap inside. It's baited with small pieces of felt that the company says were kept in a live mouse cage for a week.

The day after I put it out I found a dead 8" pink worm snake near the trap. I figure the mouse scent drew it out from wherever it was hiding, and then my cats got to it.

But you've got to try to figure out how it could have gotten into the house and close that gap first.

My bro found this monster in his backyard. Blame it on Adam and Eve....well, Eve mainly...but snakes just give me the creeps--big time!

I only like the big black ones......

seriously though, the racers around me are mean as sh*t if they know you're there. I also have a few "ways" to dispatch the copperheads.

There's 21 types of rattlesnakes in my area.

I haven't seen one yet, but I bet I've been within a few feet many times, just hiking around.

well the basement has been de junked and there is no sign of sneaky snake.
I still need to look under the freezer and see if maybe he's there . I figure he's gone but I still need to look .

god I hope not . i'm about dead from cleaning the basement
More likely in a heater vent, but it could have moved upsttairs for warmth. I doubt it would stay around anywhere with no food supply.

looked under the freezer. no snake also looked in the other place i thought it might be and not there either.
I really think it has moved on. If it does make it upstairs the cat will take care of it. If the cat doesn't then I will be asking whats the best way to prepare cat meat.
