Well Phil, at least (it sounds like) the music program is safe.
They are trying to completely do away with them (school music classes) in the states.

I believe the music director needs a good slap upside the head.
To post a sign like that is asinine. IMO

Axe: Chase those rotten deer down with your chopper!
but dont run over any poo while doing so!

Yeah I took a photo of it, so I'll post it up when I get it on the computer.
Doing away with music classes in the States...:wow: It's a great American heritage, are they mad?

We're not mad....just starting to realize that we're going broke
And then of course there's always the idiot parents that see their children as winning lotto tickets in the NFL or NBA drafts -no excuse for them.

In reality, a lot of areas are cutting the sports programs way back, or to "pay to play", or to none at all in addition to the music/arts programs

I'm afraid there is no balance when it comes to the unions, school budgeting, wasteful spending, etc. to the point where tax payers are getting fed up...and many just can't afford it.

It's a shame really....as I always say about all problems these days - insert some basic common sense and there's an easy solution! But that seems to be something that is really lacking everywhere!

Good idea. In fact I nearly fell asleep with one pupil the other week. This guy is still struggling changing from Em to G after 6 months. I have been told by the school he has learning problems.. You aint kidding. :laugh2:

Try him on Em (top 3 strings) to G7 (top 3 strings). You know, that change you finally mastered last week...! :laugh2: :dude:

Yeah it's biting here too. Numbers are down with regard to pupils taking up instrumental lessons right across the board.
Mind you having said that, there are those certain kids that keep at and who's parents prioritize in finding money for their kids who want to learn.
Money is tight just about every place now, unless you are a bank of course, in which case you seem to be exempt. :laugh2:

Mmmm, let's see, what could of raised my hackles recently to warrant a full throated, blood spitting, wall punching, brain boiling, axe wielding, screen breaking, hair pulling, cat kicking, bazooka loading, foul mouthed, guitar breaking, scythe slashing, air strike ordering, trench digging, remote hiding, phone marketing, alcohol soaked rant???:hmm:

Well, if we discount the possibly naive attempt at altruism, the first posts in a year and a half being removed and illogical reasoning, I got nothing!!! Everything is just peachy, couldn't be better!!!

Yeah how stupid can you get with a sign like that.. I really think some people shouldn't hold posts like hers in education.

What do you want to hear? Alright, I cut off my left testicle and gave it to a chap in need. Bastard took it and walked off with out so much as a verticle nod. But you know what, feck it. I'd do it again because that's the sort of man I am.

Seems my sarcasm is lost on some, so a little unambiguous clarification...

Naive altruism = Unsure as to the voracity of recipient of Epi guitar, the lack of subsequent posting has given me the feeling of being had!!!

First posts in a year and a half being removed = Always tried to follow the rules here so am annoyed that the Mods deemed my posts unworthy of MLP!!!

Illogical reasoning = Seventy year old Father who finds diabolical pleasure in making my life even more intolerable with his narrow views, messy traits and obviously being taken advantage of by a coterie of dodgy mates who he thinks the sun shines from the darkest parts of their scaly arses!!!

.

Oh and Phil, unlike your patient handling of the situation you found yourself in yesterday, my passionate naivety would have ripped that sign of said instrument and marched it straight to dopey woman for a loud sit down, I think your way is probably more appropriate.:thumb:

Rick.
