Whats with all the gay colors? Can't they make one in black??? I'd play a black one.

:hmm:

I didn't want to be the first one to say it, but since you broke the ice, I'll jump on the bandwagon and say "REALLY????"

Well, yeah, a set of EMG's wouldn't look right in that guitar. :laugh2:

And nothin' gay about the purple, man....besides....that's CHEAP for a Les Paul. And for those who don't want a heavy guitar, that might be just what they're lookin' for...

(And if it is, time is running out. Those suckers are on clearance. They ain't gonna be around for much longer.)

The blue Les Paul/SG need to be added back into the USA Line, as Standard Limited Editions (like they had some years ago)

Best Blue Paul I have ever seen!

OK Eaglewolf, come on back to reality :laugh2:

Okay, but you can't blame a guy from trying! Besides, my bank account is breathing a sigh of relief that my wife doesn't play the guitar. I'd have a heck of a time affording two of us pursuing this.

I like purple, personally. But where the hell are the other 2 knobs? Is Gibson trying to say that girls can't handle 2 tone and 2 volume knobs? :hmm:

Apparently the CEO is a narcist, maybe that has something to do with it?
But It would need the other 2, for me to consider it.

I am working on a project for my daughter. An LP copy, I am using that same paint scheme, at least close. Hopefully she'll want to play one day when she's old enough.

I am the second owner of one in the skyburst finish and I like it better than the SG standard, the PRS 22 custom or either of the 24 customs I used to play. I am a minimalist and really like the 2 knobs, but hey, if you like the functionality of 4, get a pair of stacked pots and a soldering iron. my only complaint with the guitar is that like any guitar with a wrap around "intoned" bridge, you can't intone it. You can't find them because less than 500 were made. But if you can find one, it is DEFINITELY worth the money. the slim neck plays great and having the body just an inch shorter really saves me from killing my neck and shoulders. And best of all, it still sounds like a Les Paul!!!

P.S. anybody else have one that they've modded at all?

Just 2 knobs ??

By actual Funk & Wagnell's count, 94.635% of all Les Paul guitar players dime the suckers anyway, reflexively making sure that they ARE dimed several times per song. By leaving just TWO knobs on the guitar, Gibson believes that it can help reduce repetitive stress injuries among guitar players significantly. Later this year, Gibson is going to invent the "slide ribbon" available on most keyboard workstations and transplant it to the LP to make volume changes a "wipe" motion, familiar to the iPad/iPhone/iPod/iWhatever Generation. There will be a demonstration in the center of Times Square of how this will revolutionize guitars forever, of course, led by Henry J who will once again attempt to emphasize Gibson's leadership in "breaking the mold" by actually crushing an aluminum jello mold with a monster truck, fulfilling a personal testosterone-fogged fantasy at the same time.

We figure that at best, however, this will simply fuel a small internet war between those who wipe and those who play with their knobs.
