I have a fairly new ('07 or '08?) Epiphone Les Paul Standard (I think, doesnt say custom or studio, just says Gibson on the truss rod cover and Epiphone at the top). I want to know what it's worth cause i'm going to sell it, cause i'm broke. It is a right hand model with a solid body in cherry burst. It says its made in Korea. It is in really good condition with very minimal scratches or marrs on it. All original electronics and such and all the knobs work and it plays great. What is a reasonable number i should try to get out of it with a stand and a gig bag?

ok well i'm totally new to the forum and unsure how to post pics yet. I will try to figure it out and get some pics put up. Any advice on the pic posting process? BTW i would rather sell it locally, but if someone on here wants it, and is willing to pay the shipping from Oklahoma i'll go for it. But i mainly posted this to find out its approx worth. So MODS, please dont move this to the classifieds, thanks!

In order to post pics, you'll have to sign up at a photo-sharing site (photobucket, imageshack, etc) and just copy/paste the "IMG Code" here.

Or, you can upload images as "Attachments" (the little "paperclip" button at the top of the message box; this ones much easier).:thumb:

Open a free photobucket account and upload some pics there. You can them attach the image code to a post and pictures will show.

A couple pieces of advice. #1 post it for sale in the members classifieds section of this site. #2 if it does sell on the forum, take the time to read the sticky thread in the classified on how to properly package a guitar for shipment.

If it's a standard plain top I'd think you could most likely get $250 to $300 if condition is good. If it's Korean made you will likely get closer to $300 maybe a tad more. Lots of folks here perfer Korean made Epis to china and Indo made Epis. No one really knows though until you post up some pics. :thumb:

Also, the $250 - $300 represents what I see them sell for used in my area. Other areas of the country may differ. Check ebay and see what they are selling for used there. That should also help you determine your asking price.

Probably not a good time to sell a plain top. I forgot that you can get one new for $400 right now.
