Orville or Grecco

Hi new to the Forum, looking at a used Orville or Greco. What model should I look for? What are the do's and don'ts with these guitars? I am searching ebay World wide and I've found these opinions please.

Ive seen that greco with the free amp before and that pic of it on the floor looks odd to me, looks too new, the bindings really white for a guitar of that age. But who knows without more pics. Plus I think it says pickup only no shipping?

Just so you know, most Greco's from the 70's were built to '70's Gibson specs- pancake bodies, maple necks, etc.

If you want something modeled closer to '59 specs, stick with 80's+ Grecos or any Orville. You will get better electronics with Greco's tho'.

Thanks, I can't ask the seller questions becaused I just joined Ebay yesterday. I normally use Craigs list in LA. I have a sister in Sydney who married an Australian, so easy for me to buy a guitar Down Under.

So you guys think the 80's Greco's are the ones?? What about Orville's from the 80's?

Is that a solid top Orville? (non-veneer)

If it is, and you can only afford one, get the Orville.

one piece neck ,,, no heel cap .... oil caps ,,, 2 piece top .... long tenor ...FEB ,,4,3 kg ,,,, what more can you ask for in a lp
and cheap too my kind of guitar
