Honestly, the PRS SE's are probably the best guitars in the price range that I've ever played. I think they are better than standard Epis yet they sell for $150-200 more than Epis so that isn't such bold statement IMO. It isn't hard to imagine the need for replacing pots and pickups if you wanted to make an SE into a serious 1st tier guitar. But with that, they're pretty impressive.

PRS in general is a completely different vibe than the Gibson designs. It's easy to see how people would vastly prefer one or the other.

Now that they aren't making Elitists anymore, it's doubtful that we'll see too many of them on stage. That just seems to be how the industry works anymore.

Their new guy was pretty good. He musta swapped guitars after every 2 songs, it was kinda OCD. He used at least 8 guitars for 20 songs.

Yeah, I think we all can relate to more guitars is better, but it gets ridiculous afterwhile on the stage. When playin live, just ask yourself, will the audience be able to tell the difference? I could become a therapist on it and suggest that changing guitars every other song is making up for deficiencies, but I won't. I mostly agree with my luthier who plays...2 guitars and 6 tones can do wonders, and if it can't..... it's you.

Just ask Keith Richards: ""Five strings, three chords, two fingers, one a**hole"

Their First lead guitarist Brad Avery(who recently left the band, btw) was an Epiphone endorsee...If you want to hear an Epi Les Paul really jam listen to the solo on their song "Consuming Fire":jam:

I've got this one on the first Offerings album. Awesome song! I like to crank up and do the intro myself every now and then. :dude:

He said he liked their harder stuff... for a while there (and even now) they moved to a more worshipful, easy, acoustic kind of sound... probably just didn't jive with his mojo anymore.

Well Like Brad..I like the harder stuff myself...I hope he keeps performing:shock:.
