Cheers Phil,

I had heard a rumour about this but thought it was a wind-up, didn't think they were serious (Political dickheads!)
I've signed & my missus signed.

Keep Britain rocking with live music :dude::dude::dude:

Steve.

Great, thanks satchfan.:dude:
I was speaking to one of the county flute teachers today about this and she said " Christ! My flute is more than 70db's " and she gigs.
Yep! keep music live..:laugh2: I have always had those Musicians Union stickers on my guitar cases.:applause:

This whole petition thing could well be all about nothing and more than likely is, but as I said before, I make a living out of the music biz, so my sig to the petition is just a bit of insurance, should the loonies from Brussels ever try..:laugh2:
Anyway, it can't hurt to send in a petition.. At least they'll know how the British public feel about it, should they ever get any ideas in their heads.

I feel bad for you guys in the UK. You're living in a near police state that'll we'll have in the USA very soon.

Thanks guys.. I know it may all be a crock of shit, but at least we've done our bit should the loonies ever decide to impliment something like this.
On a good note however I have heard rumours that the music licence for pubs and small clubs might be reviewed soon.. Great if it is, that would take the heat off of Landlords worrying about getting their licence revoked because there were too many musicians on stage.
People might think that's all crap but a good friend of mine who runs a music pub has been visited by them on more than one ocassion, simply because some arsehole has dropped him in it.

our government is really trying to kill live music in my country, ive not heard of this new legislation, but ive heard of the new form 696 and 9696a?
How Form 696 could pull the plug on the capital's music scene - News, Music - The Independent
welcome to the new world order!

Good find Paul, thanks..:dude:
The bastards wont be happy till they kill of just about everything that is British.
We have led the world many times with our music scene and I have been lucky to have lived through it all. I for one aren't about to let some snotty nosed twatt in a grey suit start changing things in a hurry. :dude:

5 minutes in a nice quiet Room, that`s all i ask for,to show one of these Bastards the error of their ways.
Aww, I'd give him 2 seconds, it doesnt take 5 minutes to reach a trigger...

Ah yes,but it`s more fun to hang them upside down, and remove bits every 30 seconds or so,much more painful, and much longer for them to feel some pain for what they`ve done :naughty::D

Damn I missed it.

It makes you laugh. The government don't mind bulldozing a village or two for those ever so quiet airliners. But God help you if you want enjoy yourself.

Right that's it,I'm nailing the volume on my amp at ten.

Hey the americans thought they had it bad with bush try living here, the powers that be will not listen to anyone except the own quangos. even when people have a vote on new housing estates when 95 percent of local residents vote against it??

I hope the law does not pass but who knows they might use the 1922 legislation.

yes we do live under a goverment who do not listen to the people, there was a campaign recently near me in uk where locals protested to not allow o2 mobile to install a phone mast in a residential area and they won and the local government said no to o2, now should of been that, the people said no, the local council agreed and said no to o2, but o2 then went to central government and got thier way and the local councils decision was over turned! this is technically fascism, fascism is the marriage of corporation and the state as described by mussoulini!
i remember a case in america where an investigative journalism program got onto a story where a major chemical companies growth hormone used in cows was being found in milk and damaging children, the corporations (fox and monsanto) got together to stop this info getting out!
our society is heading towards a police state at alarming speeds, and its happening around the world simutainiously,

i mean for those who fly they still have the ban on liquids (as far as i know) even though the event that caused that went to court and found them not guilty, a whole hosts of experts came out and stated the liquid bomb incident was impossible yet they still ban liquids, its all about controll, and whats scary is that people around the world are allowing it, i mean obama signed an order closing gauntanamo which is good but what is scary that it ever got to that point in the first place, how american people allowed torture, allowed illegal wars allowed the goverment to rip your constitution apart, spy on you and then the criminals just go free, obama has done nothing to get these people who are responsable for the deaths of at least 1.2 million innocent people and he wont his masters are the same as bushes so i dont expect any real change from that puppet,
sorry for the rant but its legislations like this that are the tip of the iceberge for a much broader agenda and they just wind me up a little bit
