Autocorrect; sonhoe = so how
How did it help you to test yours for nitro? It didn't help you to determine the model anyway. What's the point of mentioning it here? You already knew Cliffs wasn't nitro. So what are you and Slap doing here? Found a new Rich?
If we look at yours:
26 pots. That's way into Kasuga era. No 240s made by Kasuga. Still there's 90, 150 & 240 written with a marker on the tenon (and crossed out). In all my years of looking at Burny's I have never seen marker signs on the tenon of a Kasuga Burny.
Ever occurred to you that's it's a refinished RLG-50 and the previous owner did that? What are you doing in this thread again?
Cliffs?
How did I know that?
Was it tested and mentioned here?
So mine is an RLG50 with no heel and a thicker neck then, how many of those are on your spreadsheets exactly?
Musta scraped the poly out of the pickup cavities as well I suppose but somehow saved the Z64 marked tape under that poly and put nitro over it instead since the nitro came right off to bare wood...weird?
Same goes within the control cavity.
Totally feasible man, for sure.
What am I doing in this thread?
Well one way to tell if a MIJ is a higher end model is by its finish, would you not agree?
The one here in question which was sold numerous times over was assumed to be a 150 based on the top and a one piece back along with a lacquer finish.
However all those who owned it sold it as a 1 piece when it was 2 and sold it as nitro without ever testing it.
If it had tested positive for nitro would you say it was refinished as well?
Oh and regarding the neck base comment; no way someone at the factory could have just done something different or had a reason for the marker on the neck base under the nitro....totally impossible vs an easy 2 hour refinishing job on the whole guitar, cavities and all along with repainting the control cavities with black shielding paint OVER TOP of the newly redone nitro?
OK

Sorry if some models jive with your spreadsheets man but you should stop dealing in absolutes, I am tellin ya...so much easier on your constitution.
Couldn't resist
