Anyone here own the newer version of the Gary Moore, NOT the 2000/2001 version.
What can you tell me about it?
Neck shape/size, fingerboard, weight, etc.
Thanks in advance.

I'm assuming you mean the GM Standard? Not the Tribute, etc...

The neck is a ’50s profile and a (unbound ) granadillo fretboard

The pickups were BurstBucker Pros and Orange Drop tone caps.

The are weight-relieved

Beautiful guitars in every way. :thumb:

I had two and they were my favorite Les Pauls. Tone and playabilty (and looks). The best. The last one I had developed a small hairline crack at the nut, so I sold it. Now they are hard to find. My next Les Paul will be another one of these.

I have one and I really like this guitar. It has a '50s neck profile and granadillo fretboard, weight-relieved. The neck feels great and granadillo is in-between rosewood and maple I find. You get a bit more bite and mid from it than a rosewood fingerboard. But, it's no big deal. I changed the Burstbucker Pro though - for a SD Alnico II Pro set. It sounds great!

I had one and liked it, but I have horrible G.A.S and sold it to fund something else. I put BKP's in mine. My one complaint about that guitar was the BB Pro's. Hated them.

You could just pop on over, pick it up, and probably be back before anyone even noticed you were gone...

I could, but with the flight probably costing more than the guitar, I am not sure it makes sense ... but then again what makes sense :hmm:

Here's my second one- like I said it had a small crack near the nut- I freaked and sold it. They are beautiful in every way.

I have one and really rate it, I wasn't sure about the granadillo fretboard but have warmed to it, I've found the use of lemon oil has darkened it up a bit. The pups I love so they are still stock. I have however flipped the magnet in the neck pup, so it's now out of phase in the middle switch position, Why Gibson didn't do this in the first place has me baffled especially when the pup cover would suggest it has already been done?
