I was thinking about customizing the wiring on a couple of my guitars, and i noticed i had 3 push pull pots laying around. I was thinking id like to get a series parallel switch on the volume knob for my telecaster.

for my les paul i was thinking about a series/paralell pushpull for the neck humbucker volume, so that i can get a neck single coil sound. and then a phase switching push pull for the bridge tone knob so i can get the out of phase sound in the middle position. that would get me all the sounds i need i think...

can anyone find me a wiring diagram for the les paul that will do what i want? im not too good with wiring, but i can follow a diagram

I would think the pickup that is the OOP one will be the opposite from the series/parallel - just for ease of wiring.
The switch part of the pushpull is completely independent. So firstly wire your pots/lugs with the basic LP wiring scheme you want - but not the pickup wires as they go to the switches.
Then do the switch wiring - there are diagrams for both on google which will give you only the 6 lugs you need to worry about at this point. This gives you flexibility to have the pushpull pots wherever you want them to be operationally without having to get a diagram specifically for that location.
Both the phase and series parallel switching will have a hot and ground output wire. These outputs now get soldered to where the normal pickup wires would have been.

Hey can you help me with this issue,

im trying to do the push pull paralell series mod on my telecaster. i changed my mind and figured the tone pot would be ok, and am trying to do this diagram https://www.premierguitar.com/ext/r...04/BLOGS/Jun15_PG_CLM_Mod-Garage_fig2_WEB.jpg

only problem is i have an alpha switch with the 8 pins in a line, for the life of me i cant figure out how to change the wiring so that it works with this switch

The 8 pins will clearly be the two groups of 4.....but the key is how they are oriented.
In that diagram each side of the switch is the same - there will be one common lug and the 3 other lugs will depend on the switch position to connect to this lug. In the diagram the common looks to be bottom left and top right.....but you will need a multimeter to figure out which 2 are the common lugs on yours - unless the mechanics of the switch are visible.

nevermind, got a new fender switch today and used that. worked perfectly, the telecaster is awesome now gets a great humbucker like tone when i engage the pull.

can i ask you another favor. i frankensteined up a little wiring diagram that i think will accomplish what i described.

for my les paul i was thinking about a series/paralell pushpull for the neck humbucker tone knob, so that the coils are wired in parallel i can get a neck single coil sound when i pull up the neck tone knob. im hoping that will sound similar to a strat in the 4th position

then a phase switching push pull for the bridge volume knob so i can get the peter green out of phase sound in the middle position when the bridge volume knob is pulled. that would get me all the sounds i need i think...

can you check it and make sure everything works out so i dont waste my whole day tomorrow?

Everything seems ok. You have 50's wiring for 1 pickup (bridge) and modern for the other.
