FS Gibson Custom Shop Flying V Serial 8-8069 Limited Edition (Korina 1958 Model).

Hi guys. I purchased this V guitar two years ago. At the same time I also purchased a new, rockin' heavy duty, hardshell TKL case. I didn't want to mess up the original "coffin" case by taking it out of the house. For what it's worth, you can see me playing the axe (with an original Jim Kelley amp) on a 4 minute YouTube <
>.

Although my finances are telling me to sell the guitar, it is SO good and SO rare that I'm having a hard time letting her go. I am asking $8,000. Which is a LOT of money - I know. But it's a LOT less than what I paid two years ago. If you want to make an honest, fair offer I'm up for it. I will consider it and get back to you.

BTW, the wings of the guitar have NO signs of scratches or dents from the pavers! The axe is clean, clean, clean. I set up the intonation and bridge, tweaked the truss rod, and the guitar SCREAMS with happiness!!! The large frets show no signs of wear, and I believe the neck radius is 12".

This is a great site and forum. Contact me with any questions. Thanks for your time.

The photos of the Flying V sitting outdoors on concrete pavers were all taken two years ago by the dealer I purchased the guitar from. Direct sunlight makes for better photos, but I agree - the dealer should have rested the guitar on a blanket. I just took some new photos, which I have uploaded. The V is in near mint condition, including the wing tips. Thanks for your interest, comments and questions. Joe P

I’m not trying to derail your sales thread on this awesome axe. Your ad is awesome now that you put the details in, and that’s the way it should be. It is also part of the deal, per the rules of posting here. You shouldn’t make members click external links to get details or pricing on whatever you have for sale. Anyway, GLWS...it’s a beautiful guitar....and nice playing.
