Tell me about the Roland amps you've played and own. Post pics if you wish.
I for one own the Roland Cube 10GX. Just got the AUX TO 6.3mm cable, and the amp models are really cool. The amp itself is small, light and extremely loud.

P.S. I'll post pics later!

I have two nice tube amps, but the only amp that leaves the house is my Roland Blues Cube Artist. It's really a great sounding amp and light. I've gigged it numerous times. I put a delay in the loop and a couple of dirt pedals in the front, and I'm good.

My only amp right now is my trusty microcube. A decent practice amp.
I was going to "upgrade" to katana the other year but after trying it out for a few days at home, I actually prefered the microcube.
The small small speaker is certainly a limitation but at the time - 9 years ago - it was the best practice amp around. Still holds its own in my opinion

Never owned a roland amp. I did play my mates cube 30 which was decent. Heard a feller playing a cube 60 which sounded great. He had that sucker dialled in perfectly

I had a little Roland Jazz Chorus for a minute, maybe it was the Jc-20? Sounded shockingly good for its size, had the sound of a little JC, but admittedly not as huge sounding as the 120.

I currently have an older Roland keyboard amp that I like. Would make a decent acoustic amp, or be remotely passable for a bass practice amp.

Roland amps do some things very well. I have a old orange cab Roly 60 I use for pedal steel. They are very good steel amps. For guitar they're ok for clean. High gain sounds fizzy

also have a little Roland Cube 20 I used as a practice amp for a while. As a practice amp its fine though some of the inbuilt FX is a little too processed sounding

I have 2 BluesCube Artist amps running as a stereo pair for my Strymon based board.
The amps each have a N.Y Blues 'tone-capsule' in them and they are very good because of the 4 way power option; from 0.5 W, 15 W, 45 W to 80 W. The 0.5 watt option makes for a perfect practice amp and the 80 watt output screams!

Oh ... yeah. I've got a Roland Micro Cube RX and the bass Micro Cube RX as well; I forgot about those. I love the RX, even on battery power it's amazing for its size. Somewhat easier to move around than my Mesa Mark V and 2x12 ! :D

Did Roland make any tube amps?
Before starting the Roland Corporation and Boss, Ikutaro Kakehashi owned Ace Tone, a manufacturer of tube amps, the R1 Rhythm Ace. and effects and electronic organs.
My first amp was an Ace Tone 301 in the late '60s - early '70s.
Look up the Ace Tone Mighty-5

The same here with a Bolt 30, crappy speaker but great lil hybrid amp. @ Jim: Try a 12ax7 as PI, gives you more tube crunch.
